Roles and responsibilities

9 days have passed and 2 days ago was a stop to my week of doing the household chores. They have indeed..... been quite a chore. The pass week have been really exhausting for me, spending at least 3 hours a day doing the housework is definitely no joke. Wake up, get my ass to school, go home, do my homework and slack, start doing housework at 6, bathe, sleep, I wake up with muscle aches all over, and the vicious cycle repeats, inclusive of hanging out the wet clothes and then bringing them back in whenever it rains, it was definitely not easy especially with the kind of weather Singapore has been experiencing for the past week.

Time has passed really fast and as i looked back at what i had been doing for the past week, i realised i have developed a better understanding of what mum has been doing... since 13 years ago, every year, 365 days.....

As i was mopping the floor a few days ago, it felt as though the entire house depended on me to clean it and that it felt like i have grown up, and i had to be more responsible and made sure the house was clean without mum's presence. There was the pressure and something kept telling me that no matter how tired i was, i had to get going and do it. I began to feel how mum have been feeling everyday except that she pmses really crazily.

So they came back from HK on sat, in the wee hours and i had to go to my granny's at 1plus in the morn and only slept at 4am. The pictures are all at the bottom and im lazy to rearrange them cause i'm blogging through my phone. It's 12plus in the morn mind you.

Those goodies weren't just all. All the food were kept everywhere else in the house so i gave up and the clothes were not much... so yup. The new Hello Kitty lip balm is really cute!! My aunt got it for me awww hehe and the Guess watch is really pretty! Mum told me it was at least 200 SGD... WOAH. (Ok la, i find it expensive can)

I had many things in mind but since i forgot, oh well.

Went down to get all the necessities for my trip (will elaborate later on) near my house yest afternoon. Thank Heavens i live near many convenience stores like Watsons, Guardian, supermarkets like NTUC and Giant express and those value shops too, almost everything i needed could be found, in fact, everything was. So back to the topic, i was almost done with getting all my things and i saw my cousins and my uncle.

And.... my uncle treated my cousins and i to some good food woohoo! We headed for Geylang for it's most famous 黑鸡汤, which is Black Chicken Soup for direct translation and it's known for the amount of herbal inside and i really love herbal related food hehe the soup was just sooooooo good.

Spent 1 hour plus packing everything into my luggage and went to my granny's again as my youngest aunt came to visit us with all her children which in other words, are my cousins, they are so cute aww!! And they were so wild and rough i almost went crazy.

That sums up almost everything and today (technically it's tues but i take it as a mon) went pretty fast. Woke up at 10plus in the morn (considered early for me, with the fact that i wake up at 2pm usually) and nua-ed in bed till 12plus and decided to head down for lunch. Came home feeling really tired and fell asleep till 5plus in the evening. Continued reading my book and did some last minute packing and yup i was done!

Getting ready to sleep now and i'm sooooo excited for my trip tmr! Gonna have to wake up at 9am and get ready and reach the airport by 11am. I'm heading for Kunming, China. It's in Yunnan and IT'S WINTER SEASON YAYYYYY so happy we wont be able to perspire as much as we do in Singapore hahaha. Checked my packing list at least 10 times to make sure i didnt miss anything out, yup it's ridiculous, but better be prepared than not. This trip is a school-based CIP trip to help those poor kids in Kunming :'( hearing about their lives there really soften my heart..... Hopefully this trip would leave an impact on them and make a difference in their lives. KUNMING HERE I COME!!! Gonna have to shop till i drop on the last day cause that's the only shopping day!!! And the first thing you must always do is bargain!! at least 80% off else your head would be on the floor at the end of the day. The first trip to China made me so pissed after realising i had been cheated quite a few times! I bought this set of chopsticks for like 90yuan (~16SGD) and i saw the exact same set at 10yuan (~2SGD) somewhere else!!! My blood was totally boiling. So this time round, BARGAIN BARGAIN BARGAIN.

Gonna blog in a week and post lots of pictures (hopefully) hehe BYE!!
